Geriatric Care

Caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s is a little more complex and demanding when compared to daily caregiving. It is more challenging and demanding as the patients’ at times go through inexplicable behaviours and mannerisms. Specialised training is required to take care of AD patients.

Getting to know more about the various stages of Alzheimer’s which are mild, moderate, and severe and how to help PwDs at every one of those stages. Creating a daily routine – We feel that doing instilling this attribute to our Caregivers will ultimately help them when they take care of their loved ones with Dementia since a routine can make a huge impact in reinforcing a sense of familiarity in the person who has Alzheimer’s.

Planning various meaningful activities – At Hope Ek ASHA we equip our Caregivers and volunteers with the following attributes:

  • Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise.
  • Providing a loved one with Dementia mobility Assistance.
  • Nutritional food preparation.
  • Health monitoring - following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual’s health, recording and reporting any differences & more!

Till date Hope Ek A.S.H.A has helped more than 575 families suffering from this disease and has more than 5000 beneficiaries.
